Here’s the directors cut of Nike’s “Take it to the Next Level”. I think it’s great. Refresingly new, Guy Richie looking, aspect to sports advertising.

RoboDog

30Jun08

I almost posted this video some time ago, since RoboDog’s walking is very authentic, especially half way through the video, where a guy kicks the dog and it takes side steps. Watch out, soon robots will walk like us! Anyways, the video was boring so decided not to post it, until I found this great spoof. Here’s both the original and the spoof.

Video of BigDog Beta Quadruped Robot Is So Stupid It’s Hilarious

The bad and cool in 1987:

The bad and cool in 2008:

This Justice - Stress video, directed by Romaine-Gavras is stirring up music scene at the moment with it’s unapolegetic violence. Justice, the French duo, seems to be in favor of the writers of this blog, this being the third video of theirs that we’ve posted.

Cleaning the way it should be.

OMFG

I am usually not promoting stuff where I am somewhat affiliated here, but this time I couldn´t resist. Really hilarious music video from Finnish ad character. Quite trippy stuff:

Domino effect

Here’s a very well executed domino effect style ad. Sort of a Honda ad spoof, but I like this one a lot more, since it seems more authentic.

Unexpected

05Jun08

This is a brilliant piece of theater/advertising, that incorporates offline and online marketing in a very effective manner. Via MikaR. Internet advertising when done right is so much more than flashing banners and rotating logos.

Working with social media, this is one of best presentations about subject (and in under five minutes!):

Bo Diddley RIP:

This is a very innovative extension to the great “Advertiser vs. Consumer” spot Microsoft had for promoting their digital advertising solutions.

This is truly inspiring stuff:

I really like the new approach Axe has taken, with two ordinary fellows chatting. Very personal and fresh. The old over the top women appeal Axe was getting old anyways…

Axe: Moustache

Axe: Weiner

A brilliant british anti-consumption film. Do we really need the things we consume? This time the shame game is on Apples new laptop Air.

Brilliantly executed wall-painted animation. Its definitely wow-effect stuff. Imagine how much work has gone into this 5 minute piece. They earned my respect.

“Brains perform best when they’re hydrated.” is the slogan of this ad. I wonder how well they to have work in order to get an idea to combine Thunderbirds and 90’s legendary pop/crap music into making a water commercial. There’s product placement in your own ad! The song is Snap’s Rhytm is a Dancer.

I was tired after staying up late watching a game on tv. But, after this exhilarating clip, I guess I can’t anymore. After all, I didn’t wake up wearing a thong.

Hilarious.

I noticed, I haven’t posted anything related to freeriding lately. So here it comes. Five minutes of pleasure. These two Finnish riders Heikki Sorsa & Jussi Oksanen are among the best in the world.

I like this snowboarding clip — nice editing and well fitted music. It gets better towards the end, and by 3:10 I wish I didn’t have a job in an office.

This is probably the most hottest viral video at the moment (clocking over 2 million views after week). According to the Wired these guys used silk boxers and heavily starched jeans to ease doing the stuns. Nevertheless I think this is more amusing than the Ray-Ban counterpart and I really want to see the bloopers.

Simpsons is without a doubt best sitcom ever. Even the openings are legendary and way above anyone else. Some lunatic has compiled all the “couch openings” in one. You have to appreciate these, when in the first seconds there are pop culture references to Flintstones, Monty Python etc.

Another summer and another string of blockbuster movies. Have to go check the Iron Man today and I am also anxiously waiting for the Dark Knight. Here is the friendly chitchat between these two superheroes:

This is probably the third Justice video I am posting here, but what can you do? They surely are Daft Punk of 2008:

This is the ultimate Spring anthem. I remember blasting this when this came out, and this still doesn´t sound outdated after about 15+ years. Hiphop doesn´t get better than this. Good beat (Isley Brothers sample), different lyrics and cool video:

If you are curious how this video continues, check this.

Oh, this is how music is made. Now I got it. Gonzales is a Canadian musician currently residing in Paris. Though most well known for his first MC and electro albums, he is also a pianist, producer, and songwriter. This is a teaser for his tour.

Talent must be one of the most entertaining reality competition platform. This is really impressive dance performance with duo busting moves over Billie Jean/Ice Ice Baby. Priceless!!

Greenpeace starts fighting Dove with their own weapons. Here’s an Onslaught ’spoof’, where Greenpeace accuses Dove of destroing forests in Indonesia for example.

Discovery channel has a new logo and an advertisign campaign. I kinda like it.

Everyone must have seen the Cadbury’s gorilla ad, with Phil Collins. This one is Deep Purple. Nice editing!

Tuesday is the basketball day for me, so it´s only appropriate to highlight this new Nike ad:

Real talk from German director Uwe Boll:

“I am the only genius in this f#cking business”
